Flashing the Trail Cam behind the scenes (Patreon)

I actually painted Lucy in colour for the trail cam piece because it is easier for me since I have all of her necessary colours in a pre-made palette.In order to turn her black and white I used a nice little trick. :>Here is how it goes:Just put a layer on top of your layer stack, fill it completely with pure black and set the layer blending mode to "Hue". This layer blending mode usually takes the hue information of every pixel of the layer and applies it to the layers below. But because pure black does not have a specific hue it just makes all layers below look monochromatic. :DThis way you can quickly turn the black and white effect on and off by just deactivating or activating the black layer.

It is also a nice and easy to check if your values look good. :VThat was me art nerding! :>
