Finally, it starts!! I’ve been looking forward to this, and it’s with the wait!

And here we are folks, the moment we’ve all been anticipating. This universe’s version of the Zs’Skar reveal, and damn was it worth it. Finally seeing the Ectoneurite vent their frustrations at the entire situation, them ripping out the Chaquetrix dial (which is such a sick concept i’m surprised none of the main series did that), and seeing how the reveal differs from the Prime Timeline, in that, Zs’Skar didn’t actually intend to do any harm to Ben until the Chaquetrix’s defense protocols were revealed, and now I’m curious if that relationship will affect the rest of this scenario? Also, smaller things. Love the idea of making the university they visit Friedkin University from Omniverse. That makes so much sense when you think about it for just a second, both in how ties into Gwen’s character and history, but also Zs’Skars. And I gotta give props to artists for the whole idea of Zs’Skar basically trying to assume to form of his original body, in the Ghost Lady body. Breaking her back backwards, flipping her head, and the tentacles, it feels reminiscent of the OG, but also feels like you guys were trying to mix bits and pieces of the Exorcist? Like when Regan is going backwards down the stairs and all. Gave me those vibes. And, I’m gonna choose to believe this is intentional and I just didn’t notice until now, I love how when her head is upside down, the parts of Ghost Lady’s face covered by her hair FORMS THE SHAPE OF ZS’SKARS NORMAL HEAD. Whether that’s what you guys were intending or I’m just seeing things, I applaud you for that. Great work, I can’t wait for more.

Everything has been built up to this point and the pay off is well executed. It’s a smart move of switching out Bancroft Academy for Friedkin University which fits with what’s occurring in this chapter. Not just for it ties into Gwen’s character and history as a practitioner of the mystic arts, but Ghost Lady as well. As for the aforementioned Ectonurite hybrid herself, she’s the scene stealer of this chapter. From ripping out the Chaquetrix symbol from her chest to venting her frustrations about every situation she has been through, it underscores the ramifications of this universe’s Zs’skayr reveal. The cameo of Blukic and Driba in the flashbacks is a nice touch. Another nice touch is unlike what occurred in the main universe, Ghost Lady doesn’t intend to do any harm to Ben. That is until the watch’s defense capabilities kicked in which caused her to feel the way to completely free herself from the Chaquetrix is by taking the alternative route. Whether or not if it’s intentional Zs’Skayr transforming Ghost Lady’s body to closely resemble his original form is a neat reference to The Exorcist. When it comes to critiques, be careful to not have events play out exactly as they did in the main series as it will ruin the purpose of an alternate universe. As for Gwen, when does she become Lucky Girl in this alternate universe of Ben 10? All that being said, I look forward to seeing the next chapter and what will happen to Ghost Lady in the aftermath. Let us hope for the best that Ben finds a way to appeal to the alien hybrid’s humanity which may cause her to literally split from Zs’Skayr. Keep up the good work.

I know she's still partly Z'skayr but I really hope she doesn't stay evil. Considering she already has some kind of liking for Ben, it'd be cool if she turns good.
