Hey everyone!

As it's already been apparent, Frisky February has begun and we're almost a week through it! Absolutely insane how it's gone so far, considering this year's pieces I feel are SO much more detailed than those from last year. And to think already 6 of them are done... I can hardly wrap my head around it.

One of the things I desperately wanted to change from last year's first run of FF is the quality and the lack of grounding, in that - each couple piece had the characters practically floating in midair. And while it helped in terms of keeping up simplicity, I found that it just... got very boring, at least for me, with each piece looking relatively the same as the last.

And at the time, that was fine! My goal was for there to be some kind of unity in the appearance of each commission to signify it was all from one event, and the method I had chose then was by keeping the same background for every. single. piece. I was not about to do that again, though, for 2020.

This year I've done my best to - while maintaining relative simplicity - solidify a 'scene' in which the characters are being captured. For some, it has been on the comfort of a bed, for others, it was in public places (i.e. a club or an office). And while I'm not trying to go too overboard with what I'm doing with the lighting, the backgrounds, the gradients, the overlays - I feel that this year's definitely achieved my goal, at least so far. Everything feels a little less uncanny and suspended in midair, and I feel more content if not pleased with these than I was with 2019's FF.

There are still SO many pieces to come, and I hope you all enjoy them as much as I have so far. I'll continue to update via Patreon with the High Res. files of the pieces for your viewing pleasure.

Love you all,

XO AZULITY
