Hello everyone! Tonight we learned that all of our developer friends on Itch.io have had their games deindexed. What does this mean?

It means that the platform is dead for all 18+ creators who brought a HUGE share of revenue to Itch.

Now the platform's developers are trying to come up with a solution that would allow 18+ games to remain on Itch. But, as we know, it won't be the same as before.

So what's left for us, the developers?

Give up what we're doing? Go underground? Creating adult content that allows people to pass the time after work or cope with their psychological illnesses has become practically illegal.

And yes, delisting games on Itch hurts our finances. We are not going to ask you to donate money to us in this post. We just wanted to point out that, step by step, people who don't understand what's going on are taking away our ability to exist by doing what we do.

As long as we have the opportunity to make games for you, we will continue to do so. And yes, now there is one less platform for possible expansion of recognition. Guys, while there is still an opportunity, come visit us on Discord. Click the Follow buttons on Subscribers and Patreon. Add our games to your wishlists on Steam.

That way, you'll stay in touch with us. No one knows what tomorrow will bring.

Of course, this is a bitter blow, especially for us from Germany, who are already suffering from the restrictions on Steam. So far, I've gotten a lot of VN's on itch.io that I didn't get on Steam or GoG, often because of your recommendations from developer friends. I also pay my monthly fee for this on itch.io. On Reddit it was read that an "organization" of activists is responsible for this, whose name was also mentioned there, but which I forgot. Such moral guardians, who consider themselves a kind of messiah and want to serve the world as saviours, are repugnant to me in all areas of society. What now? That's the big question! Our support of your work, which applies to all developers, will certainly remain in any case. But where do we get your great games here in Germany?

I know oppaiman sells games which may be a way to go but it just seems like itch really wants to go the way of tumblr

At this moment only Subscriber and Patreon. Itch is K.O. but may be it will find the solution...

Games can also be sold on subscribestar, so pass it on to your other developers. This is what I have noticed other developers are using since itch.io has removed their content. Anyway I hope these options below help. Have a great day tremmi. I am looking forward to your august update.

https://www.subscribestar.com/ They allow 18+ content + Adult VN's. Each user must register for an account validating their age to access the downloads It requires photo and ID verification, but they only have to do it once.

https://transfaze.com/ This is also a very fast file downloading service at high speeds which could be used to store your files. It only costs yours users $5 a month for premium while, MEGA and other places typically cost them $20.00-$30.00 a month for fast download access. They could then put that money saved into your higher tiers. You would need to have more slots in the higher tiers though. The only catch is your developer files have to be uploaded to transfaze
