It depends on what the artist is better at. If art is the specialty then more characters and environments are great. If your focus is writing then a handful of characters is acceptable. If you're planning an open world concept then you are doomed to have to code and draw as many characters as possible to make the plot gates tolerable. Linear novels are better for fewer characters too.

Since I don't click on this AVN every day, more like just once or twice a week. When I find time to sit down and then get into this game my memory usually comes back quicker if there are less characters that I have to recognize. I have been very entertained by some AVNs that have multiple MC's and many, many LI's. but those storyline are sometimes very complex and I find myself just looking for the sex scenes sometimes. I think if you keep the storyline fairly simple and the characters to a minimum, you can still build a rich experience. Either way, I'm still looking forward to what your imagination comes up with in the upcoming episodes. I'm in the middle of MEFF 2 and really enjoying everything. Keep up the great work.

So many AVNs fall into the monotony of introducing new characters constantly with little depth or personality, the only defining characteristic being their niche, ie the bimbo blond, the submissive Asian, the big breasted mother, etc. Nothing wrong with a diverse cast as long as they actually have some personality and role within the plot.
