Here it is, the poll winners gets their animation! I've personally always wanted to do these two (who will remain nameless for copyright reasons XD) and was finally convinced to go for it by the VAs that contributed to this project. The art style and Eevee engine both really kicked my ass so I'm nervous how you all will receive it, but I gave it my best so I'm happy:P I hope you like it and let me know what you think! (Gonna start on the alts over the weekend :D)

Pretty damn good for a first attempt at a more cell-shaded art style I'd say! A switch up from your usual, but it does provide more variety in what you deliver and makes you more versatile. I definitely think you should stick with it and continue to refine doing cell-shaded stuff like you've done with your more realistic art style vids. This was already a very well done first step - especially since it's such a wild departure from anything you've already done

Your obsession with Tifa and Cloud being damn near close to my own will always put those animations at the top for me... but, I *really* love this animation and the style shakeup. I appreciate so much when animators really take the time to keep their work grounded in-universe with respect to how the characters act, what they say, what they wear and representative of the art styles of the mediums most commonly associated with those characters. This animation, for me, would really *only* work if it were done in the cell-shaded style we associated with the latest Zelda titles, and you nailed it - I think it's great. I'm interested to see what possible variants you may or may not come up with... I hope one of them has pubic hair! Zelda keeps a full bush, I'll have you know ;)

That would be amazing! Let me just say, for the record, I would pass out in pure joy if we get some hairy Tifa action from you in the future. In my headcannon, Tifa keeps it natural with a full bush :)

I love how the video with this “nameless” hero and princess looks ❤️ It is only a little immersion breaking because I know “similar looking” characters from some video game I played with Japanese audio so the voices are very different. Maybe at one point a version with Japanese voices would be possible? If Japanese voice actors for this are hard to come by maybe AI voice cloning can be used for alternate versions?

Keep it up! Love the change up in characters! Looking forward to more of these. I honestly think “Joshua and Estelle” from Trails in the Sky would fit this animation style, maybe an option for your next poll?

Thank you for the kind words! And while I understand it can be immersion breaking if it isn’t the language you heard playing it, I think it would deeply upset the voice actors who encouraged me to work on this project to have their work swapped out, nonetheless by AI :/

Thanks for writing back 🙏 Maybe you can talk to them about this first. I wouldn’t call this being swapped out since their original (and for sure great 👍) work won’t be taken offline and will likely still be the preferred version for most people. It is just offering an alternative to the people being used to the Japanese voices 🙂
