Cover Sketches! (Patreon)

I’m not sure how they’ll show up in post, but #1 is the fox running away. #2 is the mountain side gate. #3 is the man with the sword.

Okay, here’s the rough markups for the different cover designs. Very rough, as you can probably see. I didn’t want to start coloring them in before I got some input. Coloring is, like, 30x as difficult as just drawing out the stuff. Just use your imagination.

I might do one more, and have Snow in human form? That’d probably get a lot of clicks, to be honest. I dunno, though. I planned on Snow being a fox for 99% of the story, so it’d feel a bit like a fake out? Also, though, I like clicks…

I’m super tired. As you can probably tell, the one with her running is a bit rougher than the others. The finished product will look a lot better once it’s done, if that’s the one you guys vote for. They’re all a bit unfinished, but I usually add details and stuff as I color.

Also, don’t mind the different colored lines. That’s for me so I can differentiate the parts of the picture easier. In the actual finished work, they won’t be nearly as noticeable. It’ll be like my other covers where everything’s blended in and not bright line art.

I’m up for suggestions, too. I haven’t gotten very far into making the cover yet, so it’s not too late to change some stuff around. I have like no ego when it comes to my artistic abilities though, so don’t bash me too hard.

Making covers again kinda makes me miss doing art. I used to have big plans to draw out a ton of scenes for Outrun, and most of those fell through… very sad, I know. I might get back into doing some artworks? Or maybe not. They’re a lotta work, and juggling three stories on top of all that sounds like a good way to make myself crash and burn.
