Hey everyone!

I've just uploaded Part 1 of my Belial painting tutorial. In this video, I cover the armour and cloth, including some tips on wet blending.

Check out the video and let me know what you think! Feel free to message me here on Patreon or DM me on Instagram if you have any questions.

Happy painting!

What color would you use as a shadow for an urban rubble base? I was thinking a deep grey purple like petroleum grey from scale 75.

I would mix it up with different tones, like in some areas petroleum grey and others some redish tones, like rust. That way you'll have interesting variations.

If you had the chance.. would you use this armor method on your knights now? Or save this for just character units? Do you think AK 11437 - British uniform would be to dark as an alternative to the ocher khaki?

Swarm Painting

Yeah I would! The method I used on Belial is close to how I did my Deathwing knights in the older PDF, it’s just a bit more layered and refined here. So yeah, I'd use the same approach on knights now too. I might experiment with different tones, but the process and order stays pretty much the same. And yep, British Uniform should work fine. It just looks like a slightly darker version of ocher khaki from what I've seen online.
