Love this topic! As a new DM these are so helpful, thanks for recording them!

Angeli Trisdale

Also if possible, could there be a “files” section somewhere on Patreon? There have been so many good resources recommended in these behind the screen episodes, and it would be great to have a document of links or names of things like that.

Angeli Trisdale

Oh and if it would be possible to see one of the Flowcharts that Gus mentioned that Micah makes that helps combat flow really would be AWESOME to get to see!

Oblivion

Lol love the metaphor if plugging holes in a ship. Thank you. This was very helpful.

Angeli Trisdale

Thank you (for both replying and considering it)! Maybe a Google document link? That way new resources could be added on your end without having to update the link itself.

I've been using prewritten, but more later stuff when Wizards knew not to make their encounters ultra deadly

GA Phoenix

Speaking of pre written, you guys should so realise Co1 and Co2 modules for us stinkers to play.

Tales from the Stinky Dragon

It's something we would like to do eventually - the current modules we use for the show aren't really ready for public use. We would need to take some time to gather, clean up, and design them to be more accessible for a DM to take and homebrew

S3 Adventures in Barrier Peaks (?), best extended side quest ever written. Been SOO long since I ran a D&D campaign, but I used to drop it in whenever the party was “lost” in the mountains. At least one player will either laser themselves or another party member.

Wizardpower700

I’ve recently ran humblewood i definitely recommend it for first time dms.

I love when Ben talks about other podcasts. I would love a DM reiew of other DnD podcasts. And what things they take for Stinky Dragon.

Kracka

I only know about tomb or horrors from the book Ready Player One

as someone who’s currently dm’ing some friends though Descent From Avernus, i like having a framework to go off of. one of my characters married the chapter 1 big baddie’s son and avoided the entire fight at the end of the chapter. having to figure out what to do was certainly interesting from there 😂

just a little wolf

Just here to say how happy I was to hear a Wallace & Gromit reference

Oh sweet baby Ben. I'm currently running Curse of Strahd and the Creeping Fog adventure hook would have saved you. It is the ultimate railroading tool for a DM. I added some flavor to my fog because of the trapped souls aspect of Barovia which payed off in freaking out my players. When my players threw a rock with the light spell on it into the fog, one of them briefly saw a human-shaped figure flit by. They think it's a monster, but in my head it's one of the trapped souls.

every time you say "salutation" after the opening music it fits perfectly and makes me expect you'r gonna sing the introduction. please do
