I LOVE Jon's idea of an Ebenezer test. My family had to bring me around to accepting Die Hard as a Christmas movie, and now I can use the Ebenezer test to make it easier. I would love a place to share all of the random Christmas movies people have watched. We just saw Gary Busey is in "Gingerdead Man".

A movie that takes place during Christmas does not necessarily make it a Christmas movie. McClain could have been in the same situation for Easter, or 4th of July.

The reason for him to be there does not have to tie to his wife's Christmas party. It could have been an award ceremony for her any time, a "shared parenting" event for their kid at some convention center (Graduation?) or even just exchanging the kid for a weekend from her office.

Spent last Christmas watching the first three die hards with my brother since I hadn't seen it yet. It was more times than I needed to watch it lol, it's just not my thing. I do love them getting sidetracked with the Alan Rickman impressions xD
