Yes, this was posted 2 minutes ago and I already liked it. I tend to like videos/podcasts first, before I listen to them, for a very intentional reason. Human beings are 10 times more likely to offer a complaint than appeciation. Liking a video/podcast is essentially expressing appreciation/providing positive feedback for the post. If you generally hit a post's like button after you've completed listening to it, you are much more likely to forget to press the like button or simply not bother. However, if you generally make it a habit to like videos/podcasts first, before you finish listening to them, you really don't have to worry much about accidentally giving tons of posts undeserved likes; if you find the video/podcast lacking, the vast majority of people (based on representative sample populations in many, many different Behavioral Economics experiments and studies) will be far more motivated to complain/de-like the video. In other words, if you have two worlds, where the same people like the same videos the same amount as the other world, and the only difference is that one makes you opt-in in order to like and appreciate that video, and the other world makes you opt-out by forcing you to unclick the pre-clicked like button to complain/express your dissatisfaction, the world with the opt-out model of liking videos/podcasts is going to have significantly higher numbers of likes, assuming the video was actually any good. Anyway, I just spent a really long time writing this and I am excited to actually listen to the episode now! Even with all that I just said in this post, I am basically already certain that I am going to like this episode regardless! Thanks for all the great stories, Jesse

If anyone wants to learn the basics of Norse mythology I’d highly recommend Magnus Chase, it’s by the same author as Percy Jackson and is a trilogy, but you don’t need to read all three. I personally think it’s a very good series, highly recommended!
