Jon, Blaine, and Micah talk about their favorite potato, Blaine's Bits, the crews prison visits, the voice actors in this episode (check out Kinda Funny Games), the crews vote on leaving Captain Grumbles behind, how splitting the party worked for this episode, and Micah's music creation that went into the Warden, and Chris' poo bucket.

Third times the charm for the poop bucket Chris

I need art of Gambot as Gambo now. Big knife, red head band and all.

Love that Micah gets movies from the library! I work at our local library and our DVD circulation has gone up recently. More people are dropping streaming and supporting public libraries.

Damon R.

I'm eagerly waiting for Blaine to post a picture of his lego jail.

S0wndman

I’m in for the nostalgia-cast. My interests definitely line up with Jon and Blaine’s

Francis OConnor

at the moment Micah went like secret tunnel... I was doing the same thing

Skandihoovian

Such a cool trip into your pasts. Thank you. My dad was a DJ in Duluth, Minnesota after the war. I still have a bunch of reel to reel of him being the Emcee at different music events.

brokenrobotgirl

This quenched my existential dread of missing being a kid in the 90s, thank you. ALSO, Titanic absolutely had an intermission (I went to get bonbons) And Blaine DEFINITELY needs to make some kind of nostalgia podcast. Please. Such a great Second Wind episode❤️

Dutch was a wonderful unpaid actor in this! Also I'm not sure if that's Micah's cat in the windowsill but just in case, they were also brilliant!

Erythe

The movie with an intermission might be Gone With the Wind!

Skandihoovian

Best dad joke ever! Jon, your kids will reminisce warmly about that fondly after you're gone.

Dani Phantom

One of my favorite things is listening to people who are passionate about their craft. I see that a lot from y’all, and this episode was definitely a treat 😊 thank you!

Cactus (Kicker)

This was such a good second wind I loved hearing micha talk about music and that captain grumbles is here to stay (love that guy)

Dani Phantom

I’d listen to Blaine’s nostalgia podcast!

VividVenge

Im 18, but I LOVE green aces, Beverly hillbillies, Andy Griffith, ect just because my parents grew up on them and played them on loop for their nostalgia

A friend

51:37 was that The Interview reference

Lovetheangelshadow

I am 90% sure my VHS copy of Chitti Chitti Bang Bang had an intermission

Jon Risinger

Can confirm Hello Dolly has one

Josh Andrew

Why is Micah so handsome? 😩

Heather Risinger

So much Risinger lore dropped this episode- lotsa nostalgia for me. Absolutely love seeing my brothers chat about growing up together and now working together - makes my eldest sister heart happy 😊

Mombie

The last movie I saw in the theater that had an intermission was Reds. Yes, I'm old :-D

Sabrielwalker

I, too, have never been to Medieval Times but there was this show in the early 2000s called ‘Full Metal Jousting’. I thought it was really interesting to see how the whole sport worked.

RICHARD TINGLEY

Medieval Times and what you saw on "Full Metal Jousting" are very different. Medieval Times is essentially dinner theater, where the "theater" portion is a Medieval Tournament. Everything is choreographed, the winner is predetermined, etc, etc. Sure, it is a bit cheesy, and the food is nothing to brag about, but it is a hell of a good time. I can not recommend it enough. "Full Metal Jousting" was an attempt to turn jousting into a mainstream sport. Jousting does still exist as an actual sport, but it is often reduced to more of a skill competition (e.g., Ring Jousting) as the actual sport is incredibly dangerous to both man and beast alike.

DM

So, I’m pretty straight but now I have to ask. Is Randy single?

Sabrielwalker

Well yes. I know Medieval times is scripted and is theater. But when Micah mentioned Medieval times I immediately thought of that reality show. I’m also aware of how incredibly dangerous it is to any involved (human and animal). That’s probably why it didn’t go more than 11 episodes.

Madison Olson

Came here to say I do want the nostalgia podcast 😂

Uncle Cousin

Man I feel old. Arnie's signature is on my college diploma because I graduated from a UC in 2010

Johnny

That one bread that John mentioned sounds Challah Good

Miguel V.

TIL y’all are from Riverside!

BBM420

I am 1000% ready for a nostalgia podcast! This is what the people need! WWIII ain't good sh*t on nostalgia.

Machronic

Btw this is the second podcast where Micah's audio has had a weird flutter-y noise whenever it activates!! It's crazy to me there aren't many (if any) comments about it!! Love all 3 rise mongler brothers

Emma

I think it's almost funnier that everyone keeps forgetting Captain Grumbles because every now and then you just get the random bleeping which is done just so infrequently that it's still hilarious

Dan

This was one of my favourite episodes so far. I was laughing on my commute practically all the way.

Jessica Lincoln

You guys keep talking about Pokemon Go and it still being an active game, but I have it on good authority that Chuck Norris caught them all with a Land-Line. *babies in the audience, Google it 😜
