I was not expecting to like this show but the characters sucked me at episode 1. I think I prefer it slightly to The Boys purely because of the characters. My only criticism is the pacing of the story. The romantic attachments / feelings and the radicalization of Sam & Emma happened a bit to quick for me. The episodes are shorter than The Boys so I think the extra time or a few more episodes would have helped. Emma is by far my favourite character and it looks like the are linking the powers to her emotions which is will be really interesting. I love how they showing the downside of powers and how they have linked them in to real world issue faced by our youth.

At first I was slightly reluctant to watch this show because I didn’t want another superheroes universe being expand indefinitely. I gave it a try because part of the story was rumored to be important for the season 4 of The Boys. I’m actually glad I watched it. It brings a certain breeze of fresh air to The Boys universe and in some ways I found it easier to watch. The stakes aren’t as high as the ones in The Boys, and the social/political commentary is more subtle or slightly less « in your face ». Overall, they did a good job with the story to make us feel like it was its own show. I’m curious to see how it might intertwine with the season 4 of T.B .

That finale was whack! NEVER expected Kate and Sam to just about go full Homelander.

so with Sam asking Kate to make him feel nothing… wouldnt that make him a little… soulless? I am sure nothing could possibly go wrong with another soulless Sam lol
