Guys, I fucked up. I got "The River of Souls" and "A Call to Arms" mixed up and accidentally watched "A Call to Arms" first. Whoops! I don't feel like I got spoiled really even though this was supposed to be watched after season 5. Since "The River of Souls" is technically set after season 5 too, I'm just going to watch it after I finish season 5. Sorry!

Sweat not the small stuff... and yes it is functionally the Pilot for Crusade.

I would note the following as a hopefully non-spoilery way to keep your expectations in check about Crusade: Warner/TNT treated Crusade like Fox dealt with Firefly. They micromanaged it and then released it entirely out of order, and then cut it from 5 years down to less than a full season. It is great storytelling IMHO, but it doesn't internally resolve as much as one might like. Given that we know from several episodes in the B5 universe that occur AFTER the 5 year window with the Drakh Plague, that it WAS resolved... we just don't specifically know HOW.

TNT did a study after they took on B5 and they found that B5 brought in big viewing numbers but those viewers were not staying to watch their other stuff. So they had it in for Crusade before it even started.
