That was the grossest and goriest episode in a long time. In a weird way even more gross than "Home", because it left very little to the imagination. They normally do cutaways, when the gore comes, not here. They celebrated it. Remember how it made me feel sick to my stomache on first watch. I don't know why they gave that girl such an superhero/actionhero-feel. That's really not X-Filesy. You're right, everything about it was a bit weird. But for me still not among the revivals worst 5. Don't love it, don't hate it, just don't care about it much.

*Love* the t-shirt Emily is wearing!

Yeah, how could someone not love Jimmy. I always think of Futuramas Fry, when I see him. Dumb, naive but such a great heart 😆

Fun fact: With only 3.01 million viewers in the US, this was the lowest rating for The X Files, in the entire run.

Oh I´ll miss you two so much! I still have hope that you'll make some x files fan content reaction. This show deserves, so many years of good stuff. Please, give it some loving thought <3 And yes. This episode is something...but the final M&S dialogue is, in my opinion, one of the most honest, beautiful and mature they had throughout the entire show!

The character assassinations continue in this episode. Scully doubts the existence of miracles, just like in "Plus One" when she denied the existence of evil and ghosts, or spontaneous human combustion in "Familiar". Mulder in the revival is now a hardcore atheist since "Babylon", when in fact in the original series he never rejected the idea of a God, he just rejected Christianity and organized religion, which is a huge difference. And the storyline itself is just weird as hell. The funny thing is, when I first saw the episode originally, I liked it much more than I do now. One good thing about it is the dialogue at the end, for sure.

And this is the reason why Gillian Anderson threw up the "deuces" on The X-Files and the character Dana Scully initially right after the show ended. She did not like how the Scully character was treated towards the end. Her new interest in the show again is due to new direction of Ryan Coolger.
