It would be a different game if instead of focusing on "I need it to get to a payout of X and then I'll quit" they would focus on "I need X number of people to die before I quit." The players are a part of the broken system, and need to get their bullshit capitalist brainwashing dealt with before they can break the cycle. While the murder is more direct in the game, it isn't that different from "I need to keep working at a job that is killing me and others until I make X amount of money so that I can retire."
