I would loveee a look back video talking about your favorite characters, villains and storylines if that's something you'd like to do

A few fun facts. Ming-Na Wen had the idea for May to say "the Cavalry is here", because she wanted the character "to finally accept that nickname and all of her emotional baggage that she'd been carrying" surrounding it, and "revel in it as opposed to being afraid". A post-credits scene for the episode that was not shot, that featured someone approaching Deke sitting in a S.H.I.E.L.D. office wearing an eye patch. Ward added, since it was unclear if Nick Fury existed in the alternate timeline, Deke would have worn it because it is "a power and cool thing". The writers also considered showing a S.H.I.E.L.D. mission where Deke is performing "Money for Nothing" at Madison Square Garden. Also, the name Alya in Arabic translates to "sky". While it's not clear if this was intentional, Fitz-Simmons basically named their daughter after Daisy, who at the start of the series went by the name Skye.

I am so excited to watch this and also so sad to click play at the same time.

"One of these days we'll find something out in space that's magnificent, right?" Quote from Season 3 Episode 17. They were right they had their daughter in space. Season 6 and 7 are connected by this finale perfectly and is why I consider them to just be one long season together. We set up two threats in season 6. Patchy and Izel the alien demons and the chronicoms. The finale of 6 then ends the demons and we think the chronicoms threat is delayed but actually we still fight them on the same night using paradoxes so it happens at the same time. The Fitzsimmons story line set up paradoxes and their story about being isolated to solve time travel. It even foreshadowed Fitz being with a child. Fitzsimmon and Enoch's plan basically was stop the chronicoms from altering history until 1983. Then go to afterlife and grab Kora out of this timeline who is looking for a way out of afterlife. This would be like when they grabbed Sousa. It doesn't change the timeline really if everyone still believes they died. It is the team's failure that caused the timeline to shift. Every thing Sybil made the Chronicoms do since the 1931 connects to Jiaying. Red Skull, Malick all leads to Hydra forming and then Whitehall who will cause jiaying to go built Afterlife and create Kora. She knows that disrupting what shield is doing is the only way to win but without Fitz there with the team she can't figure out what he wants just what actions will guarantee her win. The issue is when variables are created. This happens when future knowledge is known. Knowing the Future makes you a Variable and being a variable makes you less predictable. Being a Constant makes you very predictable and allowed Fitz to make a plan based on actions he knows will most likely occur. Fitz needed to keep his team as constants for this to work which is why Simmons and him emergency back up was to wipe everything from Simmons mind in a emergency. His confusion at Jiaying being dead and Kora situation is because of those changes to his plan. Episode 9 of this season is a smaller example of this season's mission. Constants and Variables all working together until they are all Variables including Enoch who was the ultimate Constant trying to stop them. In the finale Fitz made everyone variables by telling them everything which made Sybil time stream useless Nathaniel was a big variable because none of his actions could be predicted by Fitz because he is not supposed to exist. This also caused issues for Sybil in the end because his actions caused Kora to throw off her prediction

Bittersweet finale for us. They are all doing well, just not together as a team. Still a very good wrap up of a series and the team's story.

Great journey! Fitz basically became our Dr. Strange. Surveying all the possibilities and choosing the only one that worked. Also, my favorite part about this finale is that it makes the season 6 finale much better. Now when I see it, I just think how cool it is, whereas I wasn’t fully satisfied with it first time around. I think that’s a reason people say it’s best to view 6 and 7 as two halves of one season. I do think if they were able to release it that way people would have been more satisfied overall
