The Girgori are the type "angel" who was sucking the life out of Claire's mom

Hasnaa

From the supernatural wiki: "The Grigori were an elite class of powerful angels that were sent to Earth to protect humanity. They were some of the first angels to arrive on Earth. They eventually fell from their post, and started to feed on human souls. Most of them were wiped out, but a few of them still remained on Earth. In 2020, the remaining Grigori were hunted down by the Nephilim Jack Kline and were officially rendered extinct after Castiel killed Kabaiel, the last survivor." We met a girgori in the episode where clair was trying to find her mom, a girgori had her mom captive for years feeding off of her I love that Sam and Eileen still text and keep in touch 🥺🥰 I love jack and cas's hug so much 😍, they're so pure, a lot of your questions will be answered in the next 2 episodes

For me, the coin proves they are cursed by God, because their misfortunes are not compatible with "about average" luck. It's so good to have Jack back and to see all three of his dads welcoming him home.

Personally I'm more on the meh side of things with this episode. The gambling storyline was a bit boring to me. I do really like the Cas and Jack stuff though.

I am enjoying your reactions so much! Like Bex, I thought this episode was a bit meh the first time I saw it but I think that's because it followed a run of brilliant ones – this time I enjoyed it much more. There is so much to chew on in (almost) every little bit of s15. Others have already pointed out the episode the Grigori angels first appeared in - the show doesn't mention that in the apocryphal Book of Enoch, the Grigori were thrown out of heaven for marrying human women and creating nephilim. Fun fact, Jensen made that trick shot himself on the first take, according to Adam Williams of the SFX team, and none of the pool shots were CGI.

I also was meh about this episode the first time through. There was just SO much happening in eps 4-9 that these felt a little slower. They are so good though, and are a good combo of filler episode/MOTW and moving the plot along some. I also loved the brother moments and contrasts in this episode. I'm so glad to have Jack back. The reunion with Dean and Sam was so sweet too.

I actually really like this episode much more than the previous episode. I was meh about it the first couple of times I saw it, but since then it has really grown on me. I usually skip episode 10 and just watch this one during a rewatch, of season 15. I have rewatched this show about 999,000 times. Close to a million, lol. Is 999,000 obsessed level??

Fun Fact: Lynda Boyd, who played Moira/Fortuna, also played Dr. Jennifer O'Brien/the Djinn, in the season 8 episode "Pac-Man Fever".

They only said there was 9 angels left in HEAVEN, we don't know how many there are on earth

The side characters in this didn't really spark interest and neither did Fortuna honestly. The biggest draw of this episode to me is just hearing a little more about the older gods and a clearer connection of how they came to be, then were shuffled out. Since it's been sparse over the years and after Hammer of the Gods seemed to clear out the bigger names when Luci killed them all, this episode felt jarring but saved itself by Fortuna NOT doing the big historical throwback speech like many others. "People used to be honored to sacrifice themselves" blah blah blah...we get it. And I've never trusted Billie because I remember she really was foaming at the mouth to kill Winchesters and then Cas killed her. I still feel like the cosmic consequences couldn't be just her promotion or for the time he died for a bit otherwise that's sorta lame. Some like Lisa Berry's Death but I preferred OG Death, he was terrifying, calm and never gave much away. Billie had some bs line about a bigger picture with the alt worlds and acted like it bugged her but even her saying Dean wanting to die "didn't sound like the same guy she loved" was so off. Not sure OG Death would give anyone a tour of his library or explain anything so easily, and no way would he even give Dean his book. She teleports groups, assigns shifts to watch the guys and I miss the foodie Death! Then in last season's finale, the Empty/Shadow (that drew a creepy af smile in black goo) was standing with Billie who tells Jack they need. The Empty hates Cas personally for waking it up, it wanted Jack so badly that it invaded heaven, but then accepted a cheap swap out deal when it could have taken both of them right there. Plus it added that whole silly "until you're happy" cop out just to give the fans what we want...wait, that's not at all what we want. Who wants more Cas suffering and knowing danger looms with some secret that will blow up in his family's face soon? To make us feel even worse about the crappy life that our adorable angel is stuck in and now know it will never get better? PASS! The Empty is the new Winchester death, everyone comes back apparently even those who have no reach there ranging from god to Nick???
