Laurel

Yeah the show succumbed to the Hollywood science of flatline = shockable. At least Simmons did do some chest compressions! Just gotta put this in the same plot contrivance category as her iPhone battery that survived months of usage on an alien planet and powered NASA tech lol You might catch the casting when you do a rewatch for editing, but in case you don’t — the actress who plays the anti-Inhuman senator at the end is Parminder Nagra, of Bend It Like Beckham and ER fame. As well, the guy who plays Robbie, Gabriel Luna, also plays Tommy in The Last of Us (TV not game), if you've seen that.

Lyla

Oh my god yes she was in Bend it like Beckham!! I can’t believe I didn’t notice that until now - thank you for the new info, that’s very satisfying!

TBF, in a world of hellicarriers, billionaires in flying metal suits, supersoldier serums, and invincible aliens with magical (near-sentient) hammers, the requirement for you to suspend your disbelief is so high it might as well be in the stratosphere. Speaking only for myself, I find that it is best to just go along with the story the writers are trying to tell and not to sweat the small (real world) stuff. :D

Some things are just wrong. The entire purpose of a defibrillator is to stop your heart, in the hope it will restart with a good rhythm. If your heart has already stopped the defibrillator does nothing. It's time for CPR.

I love this episode but I totally get what you mean around the science. The truth is I have no idea how that works, and a lot of fans don't complain about it and usually fans are the type to nitpick that, so I don't know. But in my opinion this season gets way, way better as it goes along. I don't think this is my favorite season overall (it might be?) but after watching it I think it makes sense why it's by far the most celebrated season. Although all the seasons are more or less celebrated in their own way!

The sort of "othering" that is happening with the Watchdogs going after "documented inhumans" is providing an interesting albeit ironic inverse parallel to the same sort of "othering" that the blokes in the red hats are trying to do IRL with "undocumented aliens" being the root of all evil...
