This episode is crazy...think of Eren like a camera..basically Grisha was able to see Zeke because future/present Eren was looking at Zeke and Eren allowed his father to see his own memories of him looking at Zeke in that moment. This whole interaction was only possible because Zeke took Eren into the past in the first place...otherwise it wouldn't have happened so there would be no memory of it for Grisha to see...wild

this really is the wildest, most mind-blowing episode of this anime!!! 🤯🤯🤯

you may have missed it, but after Eren whispered to Grisha, it showed a scene of Eren kissing someone's hand.. now go back to that scene when Eren kissed Historia's hand in the last episode of Season 3. something happened back then, Eren saw his dad's memories when he touched Historia and probably something more because it was since then that Eren took a shift in his character.

The whole sequence is awesome. The only part confusing for me is why was grisha able to hug zeke or eren putting his hand on grisha’s shoulder? If they were there ,physically, then everyone would be able to see them. I wonder if that was a mistake on the studio or there’s a reason I missed. post edit: im guessing because grisha is experiencing memories being sent from eren in the future to him then. from grisha's perspective, his mind probably has him believing he can touch them because the experience is the first to ever occur.

I always interpreted it as Ymir "building" the set of those memories from the sand around them. Zeke mentioned in an earlier episode that the founder can make anything from these sands as long as someone of royal blood wills it. If she can build a titan body in the real world in an instant, why not a set for those memories they wander through. It would make touch possible, but the memory would still play out as it happened with Grisha only seeing what he gets from Eren's future memories. It's just that Grisha would be hugging air when it was happening in real time for him.
