Good Morning!

The weekend kicks off with an all new episode of Death Note. Today we are watching Ep 24. Last episode was action packed with a high speed chase and a sniper. It was intense to say the least. But we are going to go ahead and hop in now.

Crazy twist. Things are moving quick! Light has had a huge personality shift since this season started. He's being very quiet so he is definitely cooking something up.

Can't wait to see where this goes next week.

The thing is, from the start L had strong suspicions towards Light but only intuitively (he really badly wants to be righr about this) but he never had actual proof. Misa’s slip up the first time was what created the cinch in Light’s armor allowing L to get an edge but Light’s plan has thrown him completely off so that even if L has suspicions now, the evidence is sooo far off in favor of Light that L cant prove him guilty no matter what. It’s a checkmate situation if things stay as they are

Also i’d have to disagree on a little technicality of what ya’ll said🤪 i think it’s the other way round, anytime L has managed to finally get an edge over Light, it feels more-so that Light is 10 steps ahead. I mean this guy cooked up such a detailed plan! He switched out the notebook owners cuz he knew he cant get ryuk to do his bidding but could manipulate rem with misa as collateral, so he chose Rem to have his original notebook and stay in the human world. While L and he “worked together”, it was actually Light who pretty much solved the entire case of catching higuchi WITHOUT memories of the death note. He even anticipated that once higuchi was caught the notebook could enter the hands of others on the task force so he safeguarded it with a fake rule using THEIR lives as leverage 💀 he knew killing L before was risky since he was L’s prime suspect but with that final fake rule, he has turned all evidence to his side and completely invalidated L’s case so if he manages to kill L now, NOBODY would suspect him or have any concrete argument against his innocence 🤡

Yea this is totally fair. For a while I gave L a lot of credit cause he was able to get this far without having a shinigami or a mystical notebook or anything. He was operating with mostly plain logic. However especially these last few episodes, Light has leveled up his game big time and I have no idea how he could ever lose at this point. He’s thought of everything!

That’s very true. We have to give L his flowers too cuz his intuition is always spot on😬 but i’d also like to add that while Light has the power of the death note and only misa who is a double edged sword, L has every country’s government and resources to use however he pleases😂 he could summon the fbi when he wanted, built a huge skyscraper just for this case.. i’d say they both have their equal handicap and advantage.
