Hey DieHards!

Welcome back for another exciting episode of Death Note. Today we are checking out Episode 25. Things are happening quick. Big thing being Light is BACK to being Kira! We are excited for this episode so let's hop in.

L drying Lights feet is a biblical reference to Jesus washing Judas feet knowing he will be betrayed. Also the the line "it's the least I can do to atone for my sins" is L accepting that he has lost and Light is now the God of the new world.

Light manipulated the situation so that Rem does the killing specifically to get rid of Rem as well. With L and watari dead, the only person who could challenge Light would be gone. His only remaining issue really is Misa being this double edged sword. So to control misa more effectively, he needed to get rid of Rem who was protecting her and her interests by threatening Light whenever necessary. Plus while the notebook at police HQ is compromised and perhaps difficult to use now, he has obtained a 3rd death note
