This episode opens with a little show housecleaning, then I do a deep dive into Bill Maher's appearance on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show (not sure that title is unwieldy enough.) I tried to organize all of the audio clips by topic this time, so I think I repeat myself a lot less here, which should result in a better flow to things. A lot of what Bill Maher says is pretty standard for him, but he does have a couple of moments that are, like, really fucking depressing.

I'm actually kind of shocked by how long this ended up being

Ella Dawson

“Bill Maher has a tumblr” awoke so much dread in me

Jim Allenspach

This is exactly what I'm giving you money for. The longer, the better

Michael Schlagnhaufer

Extremely funny to me that one of the two celebrities he mentioned had been on Real Time was Ben Affleck who FAMOUSLY handed him such an L for being racist and anti-Muslim

Jim Allenspach

Will: "I wonder if he's had Steven Pinker on the show" Of course he has; he's done everything before anyone else.

Jim Allenspach

Bill: "I could name on two hands the number of celebrities" Will: *names 71 celebrities* Bill: "Well, that's true"

Holly B

This is exactly what I came here for.

Will Weldon

Unfortunately he's not reposting anything

Kudos To You

dear god when he started saying that he was sure that the guys on the reality show were "being sincere" I did a full body cringe.

Kudos To You

He very carefully doesn't actually say "I write my show", he says "it takes a lot of work", he says he wants it perfect, and says "THEY TAKE" many, many, many hours. Little sneaky weasel fuck. Mahar thinks that if he hires someone to work for many hours, that HE worked many hours.

Will Weldon

There's some interview where he says he works really hard, and then when he describes his work week he describes about 20 hours worth of work

Alexandra Schultz

I find this one very comforting actually, Will gets philosophical in a lovely way

Avery

Five feet under?

"All the food is poison" is literally a Tim & Eric bit. Oranges, ya dad's barbecue brisket, napplesnapplesnapplesnapplesnapples. POISON. Why is this man?
