...where Bill Maher plays half of a Private Detective duo on a Showtime multi camera sitcom. Excited at the possibility of getting to say "It's no 'The Chris Isaak Show'"

Files

Classic TV Theme: Hard Knocks (1987)

Wiki: Two guys (Bill Maher and Tommy Hinkley) run a detective agency in the back room of a restaurant. IMDB: Two former cops become bounty hunters. Take your pick (I'm going with Door #1). The series lasted 13 episodes on Showtime. Critics weren't impressed, with one writing it made 'programmers at the three networks look like charter members of Mensa.' And yet, it was nominated for a Cable ACE award. Theme by Dan Foliart and Howard Pearl ('Roseanne'), along with Billy Vera. 00:00 Opening titles and episode intro. 01:24 End credits and logos.

TJ Duex

Could of been I hate Tommy Brinkley

Aaron

Think of all the other careers of talented people that could have existed with just the money wasted on Bill Maher throughout his lifetime

Jim Allenspach

This is exactly what I knew Bill Maher from before 2001

Chuck Grape

How did this guy get so many opportunities? How the hell did they see him in DC Cab and think we're going to get some sitcoms out of this guy? Was there some sort of deal with an agent/evil wizard that made it so TV networks couldn't get Mr T unless they gave Bill Maher a shot? It's like people looked at him and Paul Reiser and saw the same thing.

Victoria C

Yeah it wasn’t his personality or style

Historia

the look of disgust on his face as he caught that loaf of bread. Maybe he really hasn't changed?

Mirkatte

His hair was exceedingly fluffy.

Awakening Wonk

Woulda been better if they replaced Maher with a chimp.

Deb

The use of the Full House font in the credits is perfect.
