I could be entirely wrong since science moves around so much, but I was always told women tend to have low iron because of menstruation. I would imagine the 'common' info for eating for bodybuilding either way assumes one keeps all one's nutrients on the inside most of the time. c_c;

This is correct, or at least the major contributor! With the obvious caveats that not all women menstruate, and like everything in medicine and science more generally there are other contributors as well (potentially including dietary factors that are mediated by culture and socialization). That said, most labs set the reference values for hemoglobin (the iron-containing molecule in red blood cells) based on gender/sex, so a measurement that would be "normal" in a woman may qualify is mildly anemic in a man. There was a period of time in the early aughts where runway models in many of countries would stand/pose on the runway for 15 or so minutes at the end of the show. So patrons could walk up and get a closer look at the clothes. I remember reading that this practice fell out of favor because sometimes the models would lock their knees too long and pass out.

I admire her for her visiting and speaking on Vietnam; Fonda got a lot of heat for backing Israel's 1982 invasion of Lebanon. She's since signed onto at least one letter that's critical of Israel but then backtracked after Israel Lobby pressure. I don't know if there are others she signed that she didn't back away from.
