Yay, Francesca! I actually had a dream last night that I got a job working for Bill Maher. I was infiltrating his staff to undermine him, and trying to pretend to like him was a struggle.

Gabriel Iglesias isn't in his late 50s, he's 49. Karl Rove didn't get up and leave the studio to consult the numbers, Megyn Kelly left the studio and walked to another part of the building to 'consult the numbers'. Rove remained in the studio. Happy Thanksgiving!

Kelli Rule

Oh wow. Yeah, there was a time when it was considered 'the thing to do' in liberal, pre-woke polite society, 'it' being showing how not racist you were by pointing out how racist other white people were...I know, I was there. Ugh.

Jim Allenspach

Hey, if I wanted to struggle to understand someone in order to undermine them I'd get MARRIED

Mirkatte

[Then, after the audience doesn't react....] "Get it? Because that's what happens in a MARRIAGE! Marriage is BAD!"

Phasian's Workshop

Loved the artistic opening - anything that goes for cosmic horror and politics soothes me. If you haven't, you _gotta_ check out Aamon Animations. Weirdly comforting (for me). But that's maybe why I enjoy listening to you (and such others like Knowledge Fight and On Brand). It's not that I enjoy hearing you guys suffer. I'm very happy when y'all take needed breaks - but that the sounds of your suffering make me feel less crazy. Second, I feel more in control when I get to hear what these people are saying (even if obviously I'm not, we're allowed some irrationality in these times), but I would NEVER look this up myself. I can't listen to that much of it, I can't listen without someone making jokes and screaming over it, and I can't listen to it alone. I have not only you, but all these other Preverts I know are listening too. It's genuinely a public service. It makes me feel better. No one wants to think they're alone while people out there are saying these things, and I can't ignore it either, it feels bad too. That said, if it ever gets too much, we don't really want you to hurt yourself either. I'll stick around as long I have the money to, even during a hiatus. I really, genuinely appreciate all of you guys doing this kind of horrible thing for us. I know it's not _just_ a lot of work. Also, I know what it's like not to be able to source meds, I'm thankful you can post at all, who cares if it's late, haha oh hey it's thankgiving in the US! happy thankgiving while i'm at it XD Apparently I'm thankful for my podcast mens (and their lovely guests and listeners) that help me tenuously grasp my sanity. If I have to scream, let it not actually be to a void :3 We can scream together *holiday music*

Walmart vs AC/DC used to be a thing. They were too satanic

Jim Allenspach

He did not say "Peabody Award". It was "Pee-bee-ody"

John W

Bill's characterization of the Bible as "the old book of Jewish fairy tales" is nuts when you consider today, during the ongoing genocide in Gaza, now spreading to the West Bank via the IDF protected and encouraged settler movement, whenever anyone challenges the Zionist ideology of Jews having a right to that land, Bill gets on his high horse and says their right comes from this little book called the Bible which he goes on to say is historically accurate

Jim Allenspach

It's almost as if he has changed despite his constant assertions he has not 😏

Will Weldon

This is like how people thought she said she could see Russia from her house because of SNL

Samuel Cain

More accurately, he hasn't changed because he's always been a mercurial oppertunist

Back in the '90s I saw Scott Thompson's stand-up special where he referred to people from Canadian as "frost-backs" and "ice-n***as." And, no, Comedy Central did not bleep it.
