There is something so deeply unwholesome about looking at your peacefully sleeping wife and newborn baby and thinking to yourself "ah yes, a perfect time to go spend an hour talking about a Free Press flunky's conversation with Bill Maher". And then to top it off, you sit down and discover a few days after you PAID TO READ THE ARTICLE they just posted the entire unedited interview up on YouTube. It's not about the $10, it's about the fact that I gave to one of America's most despicable websites! I feel like I signed up for Stormfront's Patreon so I could make fun of a guy, only to discover they have a free feed that they unpaywall stuff on a few days later. Actually, that analogy is probably too close to work properly.

When she did her "why I left the left" speech last year, she said it was because lefties were dismissive about threat posed by unhoused people after one assaulted her. Though, I swear she complained about the unhoused in California years before that. Her complaints always seem to be the typical right-wing position of demonizing the unhoused while ignoring the economic conditions that created their situation. She's been critical of gender affirming care since at least 2023 and lost her shit over someone referring to AFAB as birthing person.
