fwiw, 1990s technology can do podcasts - shoutcast appeared in 1998, and it's entirely capable for (audio) podcasts.

I remember well the entire era at the beginning of blogging when Andrew Sullivan was huge, and he was viewed as the reasonable right winger. He was the original Never Trumper before Trump. I love The Atheist Zone. Unironically, I loved every word he said during that rant (ignoring the fact that he's not living up to any standard of rational thought)
