lopoddity

I drew him tastefully disheveled when i shoulda drawn him with greasy fur and crusty eyes, coughing up a hairball into his coffee

how do you think Felix would have felt about Perry and Tibs? out and proud gay men living the life he never could?

*flash back to when my 3 year old niece wanted a sip of my wine cooler and I blurted out that she couldn’t because it was adult juice*

FloweryFruitFangs

Was Perry ever bold enough to sneak a sip of his dad’s “juice?” Not that I think either of his parents would explicitly encourage that behavior, it’s just that Liv and Felix aren’t exactly winning any parenting awards anytime soon, and being a chaotic gremlin child myself once, I know I would’ve downed my mom’s wine glasses as a 5 year old if my parents weren’t watching me.

Perry is definitely out, proud, and gay, but Tibbs is out, proud, and bi. Felix would probably be snide and dismissive, to be honest, but in a way that would show he's pathetically insecure and jealous. For one, Perry married swine. It's permissible to use prey animals for sexual thrills, but to marry one? To tarnish Felix's family name with a non-feline? Second, Felix wouldn't even view them as a legitimate gay couple, but rather a straight couple seeking attention. He would view Perry as a confused woman, not a "legitimate" gay man. Of course they can be "out and proud", they're not a real gay couple. Just two freaks with a fetish. He would be SO bitter about it, so jealous that Perry is the man he always wished HE could be- out, proud, happy, sassy, with lots of queer friends and an adoring husband. Accepting them would mean admitting that Felix could've managed to be happy if he'd had the courage to accept himself, and that's just too painful to admit. It's easier to be cruel.

Yeeeep, then IMMEDIATELY spit it out. I remember as a kid, my family encouraged me to have a sip of my grandma's wine, and I immediately spat it out because wtf, people actually LIKE that rancid rotten grape taste?? But at least wine is sweet. Felix has hard liquor in that flask- whiskey or rum or vodka- something that DOES taste like jet fuel. Perry would try to sneak a sip and probably start choking while it burned his nose and throat. Felix would just take the flask away with an amused chuckle, "hmf, let that be a lesson to you, ducky".

oh sorry! Out and proud gay and bi men <3 Oh Felix , misery is easier to accept them self worth. Though his situation is still a little more complicated then Perrys. Felix didn't have the benefit of a progressive society, not that current day is all love and sunshine, but Felix's fears are real for their time and it is tragic he couldn't escape that. Im sure he feels some resentment that the world moved onto something better AFTER his time (or youth in the au where he lives) At least him and Liv would have something they could agree on, disproving of their sons 'lifestyle' and son in law, lol. I wonder if Perry would have tried to bond with his dad if he knew he was gay too, try to connect on that shared experience only to get it thrown in his face Also side note: Is Felix related to Merideth/Dom?
