Loved y’all’s response to big butch Cupcake on my last post, really got me in the mood to draw more big butchy ladies. 💗 Decided to try out drawing a lil casual character nudity~ Featuring Kathleen and her friend (Witch) Hazel, a cool-girl capybara that does tarot reading and fortune telling out of her studio apartment. Hazel deeply appreciates the power and mysticism of nature (read: pretty rocks and crystals), which makes her a fun fit for Kathy, who works as a nature ranger. These gal pals keep things all-natural, au naturel!

Kathleen is a beaver, and beavers mate for life. Or at least they’re supposed to. Kathy tried it and just ended up spending the first decade of her adult life in a middling marriage with a man she loved, but didn’t LOVE. Post-divorce she’s pretty hesitant to settle down again so soon, and prefers exploring her late-in-life lesbianism with as many lovely ladies as she can meet.

Oh I love them both. I’ve already gone on and on at how much I adore the way you draw bodies and the variety between them all. I think the nudity really shows how well that is and the true beauty of them all. I’d let Hazel read my cards any day

Ugh this is such a beautiful image, I love how you rendered all their curves and folds, and I love how genuinely happy Kathleen looks. I hope I can some day feel the same way about my body as I do for Kathy - she's gorgeous and comfortable, and it tickles me to death. I love to think of her having all her lovely lady nights, truly coming into herself and learning of her real needs and wants and what they now look like now that she's not tied down to a life that wasn't fulfilling. Reminds me of a friend of the family (funnily enough, with the EXACT same name) who had the same later in life revelation, and is now going down the same path, learning new things about herself in the process of exploring lesbian life. Good for them 💕

NEKKED LADIES!!! \o/ A CAPYBARA!!!!!!! \o/ they are one of my favorite animals!! When I was a young kid my neighbors had one (I didn’t know about the exotic pet trade then and today I’m against people keeping animals like this as pets buuuuut i was a kid and I will say they treated him like a king), anyways, for years I’d help take care of him after school and I’d lean against him in his outdoor pen by his pond on nice days and read out loud to him. They’re amazing animals and much bigger then people think. Walter was the about the size of a medium-ish sized dog and he’d just walk around his pen with ducks sleeping on his back ♥️ They are both so beautiful. I love the wrinkles and rolls and UGH I wanna be tits out with my gal pals reading tarot cards so bad can I join??!! (Fun fact, I collect(hoard) tarot card decks. I have 37 so far)

OOF, imagine a depressed and empty nester Maple meeting Hazel later in life (possibly after she and Honey have a fall out), and slowly being befriended by this wonderfully weird free spirit, despite her many efforts to “not get mixed up with the wrong kind of people”, yet being fascinated and envious of how HAPPY and free Hazel is. Their lives couldn’t be more different yet something about Hazel reminds her painfully of how she was before Merryweather It takes a long time to get her judgemental stick out of her ass and you better believe Hazel calls her out on her bullshit, but sloooowly the Maple she’s kept buried slowly starts to come out She joins Hazel (and sometimes Katie) on their nature walks, she doesn’t feel silly or childish for getting excited at finding the PERFECT new rose quartz to add to her collection, she laughs over tea and tells dirty jokes she would NEVER say to her husband. Idk if she’d ever let herself go tits out during a tarot reading, but at least she’s stopped blushing like a school girl and very much NOT checking out anyone’s boobs Her husband doesn’t know about this friendship, and Maple is very uncomfortable with how at times it feels like she’s having an affair by lying to him when she visits her friends. He just….he wouldn’t get it, why upset him? She’s really not doing anything BAD…right?

The idea of Maple ditching Merry to go live in a commune in the woods with a couple of crunchy hippie-dippy lesbians is so stupidly hilarious I'm insanely tempted to make it canon. Kathy: *yawns and snuggles her head on Hazel’s belly* mmm…good. Our pot plants were looking a little dry Hazel: *happy gasp* oh we haven’t had a rain dance in a hot minute! I’ll invite the rest of the girls to a drum circle tonight

As Merry’s #1 fan (maybe #2 after you) I would love to see this happen. In a twisted sort of way it IS tragic Disclaimer, I don’t have sympathy towards people who make it their life mission to hate and oppress others, buuut growing up in that community it’s kind of sad how REAL it is to those people Not the belief in God or a higher power, I have no issues with that considering myself a spiritual if not religious person…but people like Merry who take their religion and use it as a weapon because they HONESTLY believe this is how their God wants them to be There is NOTHING wrong with faith or belief in something bigger then ourselves, but the singleminded obsession with the holy book and the prayers and devoting EVERY ASPECT of your life to this….it feels very cult-like imo and honestly religious fever can be terrifying BUT…I do feel sad for people like Merry to a point because that’s literally ALL they are and they eat and breathe and live and die by this. Merry TRULY believes he’s right…and idk that just makes me pity him in a way

Okay but: Maple feeling lost after a falling out with Honey. Maple being blown off with a few "trust in God" platitudes by her husband. Maple buying crystals to soothe her pain, getting into an enthusiastic discussion about the healing properties of various stones, and (with a little guilt - she isn't *supposed to* do stuff like this, weird pagan nonsense at best and, if Merry is to be believed, a gateway to DRUGS and WICKEDNESS) agreeing to a little reading when the delightful shopkeeper points out it seems like she's hurting and needs guidance... Maple coming back with a little flush of excitement and a couple of her favorite stones. Maple finding out about some event or another at the store and volunteering to help out. Maple feeling weird about how secretive she instinctively keeps these little outings. Maple finding it harder and harder to bear feeling unheard and devalued because she's finally getting a taste of what she could have had...

She's mostly new-agey and very woo-woo. She talks in a breathy woooOOoO voice that she thinks sounds mystical ✨️. She's crunchy in that she loves gardening and cares a lot about heirloom tomatoes and hand-weaving hemp rugs and baking nutritious high-fiber fruit-nut loafs that could probably survive being thrown off a skyscraper. She's not quite the type to dab eucalyptus oil on a sick child to cure their whooping cough, but she does believe in astrology, chakras, tarot predictions, etc. She smells like herbal tea and incense and likes to swim naked in the river. She's in her 40s, child-free, and entirely content with who she is. She's also spacy and scatterbrained and never in a hurry, which others can find frustrating.
