in which Topher is fair bit better at flirting than Honey is, so Skye sentences him to DEATH BY SNU-SNU

this is one of those times where I doodle something and suddenly think wait, is this too much for patreon?? On one hand, my page is marked for mature audiences, on the other, his face is smushed FULLY up in her kibble and bits. It makes me feel BASHFUL IDK AHHHHHH 😫

Not me watching Lop's descent into smut XD

I for one don't feel like it's too much at all because it's HILARIOUS and not just raunchy. I feel like any... Horny situation drawings can be granted some levity if they're really funny 🙈 Like, for example, I draw a lot of lycan characters, and I have made a joke illustration in the past of my character shifted during a rut, and his girlfriend making eyeball emojis at his Goods™, and my best friend was like, "I don't know how I feel about this", and we had a semi-serious discussion about it, and she said as long as it's always a joke, it wouldn't make her uncomfortable to see her characters in those situations (but I also haven't drawn anything more explicit that wasn't humans, so 💀). I understand this situation is a bit different because of the fact that it's Patreon, but that's my personal opinion at least.

Be Mean by DNCE starts playing in the background

*happy gasp* are we gonna start going back to our pearl clutching past??? Hehe I’m also very happy that Topher and Skye are canon naughty bit buddies

Rheanna

Too late, already gave us a sneak peek, now you have to commit and finish it lol But no I don't think this is too far. It's just a teensy bit saucy is all and your page is marked appropriately for content like this so we *should* all be adults here who can handle content like this without, as someone else put it, "clutching our pearls"... especially since this is obviously meant to be funny-spicy

Gleeman and Artist

I got no problem with funny or series smutty artwork. There are some people who aren't gonna be into it but at the end of the day it is your patreon and its your call what you wanna post. I do know artist who do both nsfw and sfw art and they make the nsfw art a different tier on their patreon so you could do that if you're worried about it. Other side of it is if you post smutty art people might be more likely to leave lewd comments too but the internet tends to be like that no matter what type of content you post

I don't thiiiiink I'd ever descend into drawing porn outright (knock on wood). Idk, I just get....embarrassed? Even looking back at old porny MLP stuff I drew years and years ago, it's like....aaaagh. I can draw fanservice and casual nudity and suggestive stuff no prob, but actual explicit content is a mental no-go for me. And that's weird, because I feel that sex and queerness go hand in hand (asexuals respectfully included, of course), sex can be a valuable way to explore how characters think and feel. There are some incredible furry artists out there that weave slice of life with aggressive kink so seamlessly, it blows my mind at how good and human their stories are. Like, I'm dying at how pervy it feels for Topher's face to be in Skye's BUTT, but also like, that's part of Skye's character, she's got a big ass and she likes people to kiss it, both figuratively and literally. Idk, again, while I doubt I'm ever gonna draw characters smashing, I think there's great story potential in having characters talk about sex and kink and explore their sexuality.

SketchyBug

As a furry artist that also mixes sex with slice of life, I think your view on the matter is completely valid. You are fully aware of what your comfort zone currently is, and you’re addressing explicit themes in a way that falls within that comfort zone. (And of course total sex repulsion/aversion is fine too for those is applies to.) It may change later on or maybe it won’t, but I think what’s important is that you’re doing whatever feels right for you at the time, and you clearly put thought into how your characters approach sex and are finding ways to display that while remaining in that comfort zone. So props!

FloweryFruitFangs

This sketch looks great, but don’t feel pressured to do anything that makes you uncomfortable!

lopoddity

Thanks! <3 But nah, I weighed whether to continue with this sketch or work on a Skye/Topher doodle where they're arguing. Decided to go forward with booty doodle

Lammergayier

... Wait a sec. I seem to remember you mentioning offhand once that Topher and Summer are friends. Does Summer know Toph banged her sister? I mean I'm sure she wouldn't really care but I'm still curious to see how she would have taken that info

lopoddity

Bro code dictates that one not smash the siblings of one’s bro. Topher knows that Summer is a outspoken feminist and claims to be accepting of her sister’s decisions, buuuuuut he’s maybe a bit nervous that deep within her ultrachill temperament lies a shred of overprotective big sister instinct. And he’s right. And for this reason, he figures it’s best left unsaid. Summer would EVENTUALLY be fine knowing Topher and Skye banged, but not before she hit Topher with a shovel at least once

Jewell H

Do what feels comfortable for you, but I fully understand what you're saying about getting embarrassed because I can read hardcore porn with a completely straight face but get blushy and start, like, kicking my fucking feet when I try to even write two characters kissing.

Jay Martinez

Wait I need to see more of them 🙏👀

Acornheart

question, don't mean this in a judgy way; are Honey and Skye endgame, or skye/sunny/bruce? some other combo? I can't remember the timeline or what's been rewritten since u started drawing fuzzbutts. Also it's ok if the answer is "none of them, it's all headcanons overlapping" or the like

lopoddity

Dang, I apologize, I didn't know I'd given off the impression Honey and Skye were a potential ship. That's a dry well right there. Honey has a crush on Skye and would like to be her friend, but Honey is a little twerp, so odds of them ever hooking up are very, very low. Nope, Skye is dating Sunny, loves Sunny. Though they are in an open relationship. Sunny and Bruce are roommates, and Bruce may or may not have a crush. That's about all I've put forth so far. :3

Acornheart

Goootttt you ok so that's just Honey's closeted lesbian vibes coming out and me crossing wires with Topher-Honey-Sunny-Skye-Summer familial and relationship ties. Also I feel like i remember something happening with Summer and Honey but maybe that was just teasing. Sunny/Skye and more is what I figured ty!

lopoddity

Oh yes yes yes that is true, I knew I was leaving something out! Honey has a crush on Summer, Skye's sister. Honey also has a crush on Jude, on Victoria, on Mal, and on basically every woman she meets (bonus points if they're older). Don't take Honey's crushes too seriously, she's VERY much still figuring herself out.

mirarevias

As a second note too... I guess you could also always create another tier for more smutty art to more clearly separate it from the non-smut, if you wanted? A lot of other artists I follow do that (and they just kinda duplicate a specific tier and mention that it includes NSFW doodles) and it seems to work well for them, but again, this is your Patreon, and I, for one, am here for ALL of your art. 💕 But now that my dumb ass has had enough sleep, I also understand it comes from a place of embarrassment too, at least a little. Which I sympathize with (I'm chaotic and after a long life of being punished for AuHD behaviors I refuse to bow to shame when it comes to my art anymore, I'm here to have fun damn it)!

lopoddity

There’s an idea. I knew other artists offered NSFW tiers at higher prices, it didn’t occur to me you could just have a duplicate regular tier to post NSFW art to. Hmm.
