World building Question(I find this world fascinating). Are they're things the people of fuzzbuts can't eat like with dogs,can they eat onions? Chocolate? Is it like being lactose intolerant were yes, you can eat it but it'll make your stomach hurt? Are Rabies still a thing in this Universe? Is it still incurable? Is it more common to see in certain areas then in others? Do they get standard shots when their little like flu shots?

Nope. A strawman is an exaggerated caricature meant to paint an unflattering misrepresentation of the opposing side. Honey is a pretty paint-by-numbers reactionary evangelical neo-conservative, eeeeexcept I softened the hard edges of modern American theocratic conservativism and altogether made Honey a lot more wacky and harmless for the goal of making her MORE likable and understandable to my audience, not less. Even with Merry, who is the closest in my cast I'd call a "strawman", I'm still careful to maintain his humanity and softer parts. If I wanted Honey to serve as a strawman, I'd just have her be an unrepentant, unempathetic, uneducated, viciously bigoted foaming-at-the-mouth monster that constantly loses political arguments against an incredulous or smug liberal character. That's pretty boring, I see enough grifter cruelty irl. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I missed this little conservative dog which is crazy because I am neither a fan of dogs nor conservatives. But also I have to ask…did you ever see that Goat movie…with the big sexy black panther woman 😫 between her and Pawbert I was like damn they stealin all the lopoddity critters this holiday season (hope this isn’t rude or anything, I just found it kinda funny…I am a big fan of talking animals if you can’t tell)
