"How much time do you have?" On one hand, at least she's self aware. On the other, god I love her, a woman who could break my ribs and I'd thank her

TiredGremlin

Yesssss my favorite awful people ship

pookaWOODS

Oh my goodness, the dominance grooming is way oo cute in a funny way.

Dean

This is a deranged comment but I'd looove to see an au where they swapped kids maybe? I would love to see these people be dysfunctional.

lopoddity

Merry doesn’t know feline behavior and thinks it’s just some extraordinarily rare tenderness from Liv. Meanwhile she’s gradually licking a bald pink patch onto his head

pookaWOODS

😂😂😂 Poor sap is already so close to bald.

Corinne Stephenson

My Idiot Velcro Cat does it to my Idiot Velcro Dog anytime they're both trying to cuddle me

Emma Breslauer

I love these two, they're so awful lololol

Lammergayier

Damn he's got those Wheezer Blue eyes

I think Honey and Liv would actually get along...okay? Honey is the sweet, girly, people-pleasing daughter Liv always wanted (and didn't get with Perry). Without Merry to indoctrinate her into aggressive smarmy fundamentalism, I think Honey would be a lot less confident in herself, and struggle to set boundaries, which Liv would definitely capitalize on and enjoy. Honey would (for a time) be too meek to defy sharp, cruel, often terrifying Liv, and would desperately try to distort herself to meet Liv's expectations. Perry, meanwhile, would probably be very Topher-like under Merry's rule. He would quickly grow resentful and rebellious under Merry's inflexible parenting and rigid gender expectations, and leave home as soon as possible. However, without financial support from Merry (or Felix), Perry would struggle to find his footing in the world and probably turn to impulsive and self-destructive behaviors. Perry is a hair too skittish to do anything too criminal, but his nature leans toward addiction, so he may fall into alcoholism or drug use to cope with his feelings of self-loathing and failure.

How can Liv be so mean 😫 but also have cutest wittle tail in the world😔 also i love the goofy dumb face u give merry. he looks like a butt

Serena Yang

I remember the nsfw valentine's living merrily saying it was a hypothetical situation, but im curious if liv and merry situations are canon in the fuzzbutts universe? :o

Lourenzo Dasilva

Would Merry ever find his own community turning against him? Seeing as how all three of his children have fallen prey to the "woke mind virus", would they lose faith in him or even accuse him of being one of them?

lopoddity

Merry really wants to grab that cute widdle tail but feels like Liv would claw his face off if he tried

lopoddity

It's not officially canon but it COULD be. Maple will eventually leave Merry, and that definitely opens up the chance for him to meet a certain bitter kitty on an estranged parents forum...

lopoddity

Probably some of them would lose faith, but I imagine Merry would do an excellent job of spinning the story, painting himself as both a victim of woke (he lost his whole family! Twice!) AND a hero (he refuses to compromise on his beliefs, even though it's cost him his family. That's how devout he is!😤)

Millions of Bees

Merry becoming one of those people posting religious ai slop on social media, I could see that

HolySin

I’m obsessed with Liv and Merry, they both terrible and perfect for each other, I love it. (Misery loves company and such) Seeing Merry be submissive is such a treat…I need more of this toxic senior relationship! Also Merry’s eyes are absolutely stunning, and saying otherwise is blasphemy XD

Robo87

*me* I would run them both over with my car if I had the chance *also me*: I’m not even kidding they’re my favorite Fuzzbutts pairing and they’re not even canon

Lammergayier

Yeah, stunning as in stunning a prey animal into a frozen state so he can pounce jfc /silly

Beautiful,Give Me 10 more. Question,If Merry and Olivia met when they were younger and not bitter with everything would they have worked out or at least become friends? Cause Young Merry was a lover boy through and through,he was sweet and a goofball(and hot he was also smoking hot) and Young Olivia was pretty optimistic even with the issues with her mom

Res Hound

I think Merry asking appalled semi theoretical questions and Liv answering them at face value is my favorite genre of their interactions

Res Hound

The other one I'm thinking of being what Merry said along the lines of "if God doesnt exist, how do you have morals?!" And Liv replying "That's the thing, I don't"

Res Hound

Theyre also my favorite fuzzbutts pairing ngl

Kate

That's a really interesting question. I also wonder what would have happened.

lopoddity

I'm not sure! Merry might’ve indeed become a better person without the weight of his megachurch corrupting him, and Liv might’ve become a better person without a decade of domestic servitude to a closeted misanthrope to demolish her empathy and optimism. Had they met when they were younger, Merry and Liv might’ve worked out, might’ve been happy. Then again, both of them are ridiculously ambitious people trying to fill the wide chasm of abandonment and loneliness within themselves brought on by their respective mommy/daddy issues, so who the heck knows. Maybe they were always doomed to unhappy endings. Or maybe they'd be sitting old and gray on their back porch, happily holding hands and watching their grandkids play. Who knows?

Rheanna

I’m sorry, Lop, I just cannot picture either of these two as having a happy, hand-holding-on-the-porch kind of happy ending, but I definitely think they’d have only themselves to blame for their own misery. I picture them as a horrible, bitter, angry old couple who have self-sabotaged themselves with their own inner turmoils to the point of limiting whatever success they might have had if they’d worked together to better themselves, but they are nevertheless down bad for each other because they consider each other to be the one individual who can understand the depths of their own issues and personal failings (but knows from 40+ years of marriage not to bring it up) and they love each other as much as they hate each other (but not nearly as much as they despise everyone else).

pinkyubus

i was just thinking about my two favorite miserable fossils /affectionate
