Lop, this is awesome! You’ve got the dialogue and formatting down perfectly! You should be proud of yourself 😊

AHHHHH all my faves on one page, I'm so exited to see how this will unfold! This page came out incredible, the linework is so sharp! If you don't mind me asking, from start to finish, how long did this end up taking you?

Calastor

Hot DAMN that last panel has punch!!!

Dragonseeker

This looks amazing omg🥺🥺 so excited to see the rest of this!!

the writing of this is sooo good.... perfect example of in media res. i love how we're getting advice from skyla's pov, and how the reader slowly puts together what's going on. that, combined with the contrast between jam's high-energy panel and the quiet softness of the final one--you can FEEL the apprehension but it also feels nice and gentle? man, a-fuckin-plus

lopoddity

this page? I'm not sure. I drew the thumbnails, layout, and first panel on Friday. Then the Magnolia panel Saturday night. Then the third and fourth panel today, plus finishing touches. All in all, maybe 10-15 hours? It's hard to guess cuz I didn't work on it continuously and took lots of breaks. It definitely took less time to finish than a full illustration, like the one I did for "Snare" and "My Better Half". Those took AGES

Yassssss it's skypeach timeeeeee

Stunning! I like the way you've built tension here. It's a really solid intro! Can't wait for more!

That last frame is so touching 😭💛💚💙💜 And I love how you drew her flying; there's something so sweet about how her hooves are folded and the simple sunlight... You totally nailed the mood. And all the first three frames are stunning!

Melody Williamson

Oh nice. skyla is a really interesting character

DragonCookies

This looks so good aaaaaaa!!!!!!!! Something about seeing Skyla soaring in the sky like that has brought this world and these characters up an entirely new level I feel. Like they feel so real in a way I haven’t seen before and I love it. Super excited to see where it goes!! You got this!!!

Thank you! :D This is why I was so excited to start a comic. Sequential art has so much more potential than standalone static images. When the viewer's eyes move across the panels, it gives the illusion of motion and progress, so the characters "feel" alive. It's like watching a movie, one frame at a time. I can't wait to showcase the comic's cast talking and moving and going about their lives, I think it's got the potential to lend so much authenticity and life to my characters.

DragonCookies

I absolutely agree!! Like I said I’m super excited to follow this project and see where it goes!

Angsty Ram

Honestly this is inspiring me so much to kick start my own, keep up the amazing work!

Dragon Turtle

Heck yeah I love Magnolia! I'm imagining her in overall jeans below the neck.

TheTabbyBadger

Oooo this looks great! I love the feel of the last panel especially!
