gotta go to bed so here's a sketchy sketch

In the beginning, Smokescreen was pretty excessively brutal with Montezuma's minions. He quite liked intimidation tactics- such as ripping the love/life force out of one of them right in front of their comrades- because it was a solid way to communicate "stay out of my way" when one cannot speak. This poor chap is named Omacatl (he's a creation of Colbyr's, first featured in this fic) and he was probably grabbing some snacks for minion movie night when Smoky showed up and ripped his whole ass world asunder. As with all victims of changeling love-leeching, Omacatl will be completely catatonic for a few hours, then weak and fatigued for days.

I was inspired by 9. :) Ngl, I found that movie bland af, but hoo boy did it have some gnarly deaths. The way stealing love is depicted in the show has always felt weird to me (esp Chrysalis just standing there with her mouth open), so I thought it’d be neat if it were more violent and traumatic, the way Tirek rips magic out of ponies.

THIS LOOKS SO COOL WTF??? Omacatl,,, my poor baby boy,,, I'm sorry but always use the buddy system on a snack run when your boss is a wanted enemy of a global superpower with a very well-trained assassin constantly on his tail. I imagine Omacatl would naturally be more wary and suspicious of Smokescreen after this, and when Itzcuin finally hears this story Oma has to stop Cui from finding Smoky and trying to initiate their rematch right then and there. (Smoky doesn't understand why the next time he sees Itzcuin, the pony shoots him a dirty look. He thought they were past that :((( No it doesn't hurt he's a hardened agent!!! But... why :(((((( ) Monte would be so, SO mad at this, I imagine. Like, yeah, they're still in the beginning stages of their relationship and there's not really any trust between him and Smoky yet to feel *betrayed* by the agent for going so hard on one of his minions, but like? Wtf dude?? That is just an EMPLOYEE, you're just making Monte want to bring Equestria down even MORE if this is how they treat normal minions, how DARE you???? (Cue Protective Monte fighting Smoky with all the rage of a protective mother-hen-boss, probably surprising the shit out of Smokescreen who hadn't really been expecting that.) In other words: AAAAAAHHHHHH SLDFKSJDLFKJS EXCELLENT

So does Princess Celestia employee Smokey to thwart Monty because he's using the artifacts for bad things? Cause, like, in the art you posted previously he wanted to steal a token for protecting forests from wildfire and stuff. Why does Celestia want to take the sacred relics of these peoples?
