was doodling floofy miss restingbitchface when i realized i was just noooot vibing with her design

 Decided to streamline her look, add more color contrast, and start treating her poofy hyena mane (attached along her back, like a horse) like regular hair (rooted to the scalp only, like a human), cuz that's honestly more fun to draw. lil comparison, just for funsies:

anyway i think i'm FINALLY satisfied with her design (which is good cuz i wanna do some backstory with her)

I'm loving the new colors! I also empathize very strongly with the big difference between being at work and not being at work - I too am perpetually cranky when I'm not putting on my professional voice/face.

Ha, I get that. I used to work a customer service job, and it was so odd rolling out that chipper "Hi! How can I help you :D?" attitude when on the inside I was running on an hour of sleep and a desire to run into the forest, never to be seen again. Part of the reason for Savannah's grumpiness is that her 12 hour nursing shifts drain her both physically and emotionally, so how can she not scowl when the overpaid hospital admin decide to "treat" the nurses with an appreciation gift of a granola bar and a stress ball? She spends her days off either recharging or getting in some cathartic rage sessions at Maul Madness band practice.

Oh, God. Between feeling guilty about leaving your patients/other nurses, hospital admin being like "oh sorry...we had to remove the coffee machine due to budget cuts...", having to attend wellness seminars and/or mandatory education lectures...yeah, that sounds pretty accurate. I've absolutely spent days angrily doing things that I know are good for my mental and physical health but dangit, I *did not* want to.

Oh lady Savannah...I shall forever be a simp for you She's lovely! I especially love the new hairstyles!! Admittedly I'm weak af for girls with long pretty hair (I was actually gonna pm you at some point with more hcs about Angel, his family, and the yeens, and one of those hcs was that Will had super long hair/fur lol). Buuuuuut I LOVE the short cut locks on Savvy!!!! Oh I can maybe see her chopping off her hair one day. 1.Maybe out of anger or stress, perhaps suddenly symbolically seeing her long beautiful hair as a way to make her more appealing to prey animals and...shes just so tired of fucking trying. 2. Cut after she joined the band, maybe in keeping with the rock-in-roll style and wanted a fun, kick-ass new style to fit in with this part of her life 3. Her hair got caught on the door and she almost broke her fuckin neck

Also my customer service persona and the real me are completely different people so I feel Savannah here. As an extreme introvert that honestly kind of hates talking to people, ESPECIALLY on the phone, like I swear over the years I was so driven to become really GOOD at it so I could solve problems faster and deal with people less like a fucking survival skill lol

I imagine the short hair is just to show how her coloration changes but 🙈 that's my haircut and color and it looks so good on her. Both are fantastic and the color contrast feels like such an upgrade!! Obsessed

Dbsiamsnshb I said before that the yeens hit dif but SHE The “perpetually exhausted and about to break but I still have to smile and pretend that I’ve gotten any amount of sleep” look is such a mood. I’ve got like maybe 6 hrs of sleep over the last 3 days ✌️

I love her "dino's rule" shirt. It looks a bit small on her though, did she keep that from her childhood?

It's a regular size shirt, she's just wearing it tucked into high rise pants. I originally imaged it's just a shirt she owns (Savannah LOVES dinosaurs and hits up local natural history museums in her down times), but I think your idea is cuter. :)

She is...me. Like I'm a VA and receptionist. Outside of work I'm tired and grouchy but on shift I have the voice and the perfectionist thing going. I really love her design!
