KITTEN?! Irises, and Works in Progress (Patreon)

Hey Artnerds!
Editing Hell
Right now, I feel as though I am in Editing Hell. The Sixth and Final Drawing Fundamentals class is giving me a lot of grief and has been a technical challenge to edit. I am currently on my third pass, so fingers crossed that this is it!
Having this video sitting half-edited in the queue creates quite a bottleneck. I have several reviews I want to edit, but don't have the space until Drawing Fundamentals is finished and archived.
I know basic drawing and art classes aren't everyone's jam, but although these types of videos do poorly for me, I do think it's important to create and share them, especially right now. Protecting and teaching the arts has always been undervalued and underrespected, but it's important, and creating accessible art resources that can be widely distributed is a way to serve that.
Another Kitten?!
My brother is a favorite of the kitten distribution system, as he has found another kitten! You guys might remember Dax- well now meet Woofie (short for Rougarou)
He is so tiny and adorable and is still being bottle fed every two hours, so my mother and I trade off pulling all nighters to make sure he gets fed. Between Easter and Woofie, I seem to spend all my time driving. He's now on an every 4 hour schedule, which means he's now a permanent resident of my mom's house.
This kitten already has a home (my mom is adopting him, since Dax is spoiling for someone to wrestle with), I'm just helping out to make sure this baby is fed.
That said NO MORE KITTENS
Speaking of driving, Joseph and I went to the
Festival des Fleurs
A celebration of the Louisiana Iris! Here are a few choice beauty shots- it was challenging to pick just a few to share with yall as there were so many lovely flowers!
Of course, after seeing all these gorgeous Louisiana Iris hybrids in Moncus Park, I HAD to sketch a Kara and Louisiana Irises illustration, inspired by Degas.
Louisiana is a land of Festivals, which provides a lot of inspiration for my Louisiana Foods (and Festivals?) series!
I recently finished my Oysters illustration, inspired by Cookin' Cajun's Justin Wilson. If you're interested in Creole and Cajun cooking, I recommend you check it out on Youtube. This actually aired in Mississippi, not Louisiana, and I can remember watching this at my Nana and Pawpaw's house!
While we were in Lafayette, we also visited LARC's Cajun Village
