Swatching:

Smells kinda funny- like a lot of the chinese watercolors I've reviewed

Quick to activate

Very saturated, bright, immediate olor

Color does have a tendency to flood washes

Forced Granulation Test:

These disperse A LOT

Color Mixing:

Atomic:

A little goes SUCH a long way wiht these, particularly with the red, its very overpowering

It's decently easy to make good secondary mixes, although I kept confusing myself

Optical:

A little melting and reactivation, I tried to not just glop paint on the paper, but it may have been a little thick.

Wet into Wet Test:

I would recommend you don't even preactivate these, they activate VERY quickly, and if you leave water on the paint, you will end up picking up way too much paint and wasting a lot of paint. These are so quick to activate. I would also encourage you to let them dry out fully before putting them away, and consider putting them away with the dissicator packets.

The two oxides have interesting granulation, i'm iffy on the yellow oxide as a replacement for (that color I always use to mix skintones), but the red oxide is really nice and a good VEnetian brown or indian red dupe.

Swatchoff:

Daniel Smith

Da Vinci

Fieldtest

Field of wildflowers bookmark with mostly sky and clouds? That Ult blue is very nice.
