So Many Colors- Patreon Newsletter August 26th (Patreon)

Hey Artnerds!

WE FINALLY SENT OUT THE LINESHEET TO A COUPLE LOCAL BUSINESSES!

It took way longer than Joseph or I thought

If you don't know (and hey, I didn't until a couple years ago!) a linesheet is sorta like a catalogue for businesses to order products and merchandise from you, the artist. My linesheet is an extremely stripped-down and Louisiana-focused slice of all the different products I offer, but I thought it would be wise to start with a curated selection, so what you guys see in my online shop and what I'm pitching to local businesses is a little different!

What's a win in your life lately?

A couple weeks ago, I asked for feedback on how to appeal to people who color for relaxation. I received some really great suggestions, and put together a long list of marker resources that I've created over the years. I've also decided that I've been focusing on watercolor A LOT lately, so it's time to check out what's new in markers. That means I'll be reviewing more coloring supplies!

Here's a sneak peek at what's in store

Starting with Hotu

It's been awhile since I've reviewed an alcohol marker, and I made it a point to seek out and buy a few promising options to talk about on the channel! I just wrapped up recording this review, and look forward to sharing it Patrons hopefully in the near future! If there are any markers or color supplies you'd love to see me talk about and demonstrate, please let me know!

Paul Rubens Floral Palette

Just wrapped up recording a review of Paul Rubens's floral watercolor palette. My rendering software seems to be having some issues with the video, so I need to troubleshoot it.

Mungyo Compuzzle

When Kabocha and I saw these at the Mungyo booth at NAMTA 2024, I couldn't hide my excitement. A magnetic, travelsized palette with interchangeable pans of different sizes- I knew this was exactly what so many watercolor people are looking for! I have an unboxing video recorded exploring this palette (and a similar FClub palette!), but I am saving filling this puppy for a live stream!

Grumbacher Tubes Paints

Not sure if I told yall about the Grumbacher review I'm working on- it was mentioned in the Blick vs Utrecht review, but I can't remember if I showed you guys the finished fieldtest or not!

Prang Watercolors

I'm also wrapping up a review of Prang (yes! Prang!) watercolors! I just need to record the intro and outtro segments, and of course, as is always the holdup, edit the dang thing!

Basil's now 3 and a half years old! (warning, video shows a pet roof rat. I know some folks dislike rats, so if that's you, maybe don't watch)

That's seriously old for a rat!

Art I've Been Working On

I'm participating in a local art show with my Louisiana food illustrations in a couple weeks! Information about this event has been surprisingly scarce, so I will share more when I know more. I'm in the process of ordering new La food prints, framing pieces, and maybe painting a couple new ones .I hope yall have a lovely week, and I hope all of us have the energy we need to live daily life AND chase our dreams!
