Go outside (bring your phone & take photos), select a mailbox or some simple standalone object. And have them practice doing contour and blind contour drawing, then bring them back in.

Learning how to see and break things down still life with basic geometic shapes- Practice with some common objects doing exploded views, then go back outside, pick an area with simple shapes, and have them practice from life- houses are a good one
