Influential Neurodivergent People Who Have Shaped the World - LBF25 Panel

I'm so excited to share this panel from the Louisiana Book Festival. "Everything but Typical: Influential Neurodivergent People Who Have Shaped the World." As someone who's been open about having ADHD since I was five years old, this conversation was long overdue. Moderated by Margeaux Weston, I had the honor of joining fellow neurodivergent creators Brit Gondolfi, Madi Hannan, Delilah S. Dawson, and K. Ibura to talk about how our brains work differently, and how that's actually our strength. What We Cover: ✨ How ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent experiences influence our creative processes ✨ Building structure and routines that actually work for our brains (spoiler: I need A LOT of structure!) ✨ The importance of breaking big projects into manageable steps ✨ Why perfection is the enemy of art ✨ Dealing with burnout, imposter syndrome, and people-pleasing ✨ Advice for aspiring artists and writers of all ages ✨ How storytelling helps us understand each other ✨ Ways education systems can better support neurodivergent learners This panel isn't just about challenges; it's about celebrating how neurodivergent minds bring unique creativity, perspective, and brilliance to the world. We need every kind of mind! Whether you're neurodivergent yourself, love someone who is, or work with neurodivergent people (especially teachers and parents!), this conversation offers practical wisdom and so much encouragement. What was your favorite moment from the panel? Drop a comment! And if you're neurodivergent and creative, I'd love to hear your experience too.
