Happy Easter- April 5th (Patreon)
Content
Hey Artnerds!
Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
It feels like it's been a busy two weeks since I last talked to yall. Here's a little of what's been going on:
Spring is in bloom, and I've been trying to take advantage of the blossoms to spend some time outside collecting reference photos. I share my photos on social media, but in case you want a little sunshine in your inbox, I'll share them here as well!
Trip to New Orleans Botanical Garden
By the way, if you ever wish to use any of my flower photos as reference, please feel free!
Trip to BREC
The park behind the main library had some particularly beautiful examples of roses, since LSU's Ag Center collaborates with that park.
Sketches and WIPS
I spend so much time in the car and in waiting rooms, I'd be lost without my iPad and Procreate. Here's what I've been noodling around with:
And the Elmer's candy illustration at the top of this post!
Finished Art:
Chicory Coffee, in honor of our rat Chicory and to go with his brother, File, who already has an illustration.
Louisiana Irises, since the Festival de Fleurs is coming up!
Painting Charms:
Years ago, we used to use Ponoko to laser cut wooden charms for us, and sometimes I'd play around with painting them using POSCA markers. Since I've gotten into acrylic markers, I decided to try painting a few charms.
