Truly Waterproof? Kakimori's Tototo Ink Surprised Me!
Is Kakimori's Pigment Ink a Good Fit for Watercolor Illustration?
Hey Artnerds! Today I'm putting Kakimori's Tototo pigment-based fountain pen ink to the test! You can see for yourself how this ink performs on watercolor paper and if it's up to your artistic standards for art and illustration.
As a comic artist, I have a lot of experience with inking, and I love noodling around with fountain pens. Today I'm using the Kakimori Frost fountain pen, filled with Kakimori's Tototo ink, to ink an illustration for watercolor. This video details my personal experience with the ink flow, color quality, waterproofness, and overall usability of the Frost pen and Tototo ink for art and illustration. Whether you are looking for a reliable, waterproof option or just exploring new ink brands, this review shows how the pen and ink both work for illustration.
By the end of this video, you should have a good idea whether Tototo ink is worth adding to your collection or if you can live without it. I put both the pen and the ink through their paces to help you decide whether it's worth the price tag.
