Pilot S Series- Artist Reviews Mechanical Pencils

Get Your Own: Shownotes: Pilot S-Series .7mm Plastic body Rubberized grip, metal collar, metal clip, lead indicator Paid $9.95 at Maido probably, a couple years ago while I was in SF Writing Test: Writes decently well, the grip is fairly comfortable, feels sturdily built. Doesn't seem like there's much give in the feed. Eraser is ok, but I wouldn't recommend using this eraser, as once it's short and difficult to remove, you wont be able to refill the pencil itself. Drawing Test: Sketching Test: Colored lead: This is a decent sketcher, if a bit hefty. Reminds me a bit of a drafting pencil, with a better grip Drawing: This is way better as a drawing pencil. The weight allows for good momentum, and it's comfortable in the hand. The grip doesn't have much give, but it's better than straight up plastic. In general, this is a good all rounder pencil, although not the best fit for someone with grip issues or who needs additional cushion in their pencils. While the grip doesn't have much give, it's rubberized and more comfortable than many of the trips I've tested here on the channel. The eraser is fairly small, so this isn't necessarily a good fit as a school pencil, unless you're in the habit of carrying around spare erasers (i was, and still am, so it's not that uncommon). If you're looking for a good mechanical pencil for drawing and sketching, this is more comfortable and about on par with several drafting pencils.
