Workin' on that backlog of mechanical pencil reviews.  Sad to say, I'm still searching for the perfect pencil (for me).  I'm heavy handed, so .5 just won't cut it, which is too bad, as there are a lot of really great, comfortable .5mm pencils from Japan.  Have I found my match with today's Fure Fure?  You'll have to watch to see!

Pilot Fure Fure Corone- Artist Reviews Mechanical Pencils

Get Your Own: Shownotes: Pilot HFC-20R-DSL-Fure Fure Corone .5 lead Probably 200 yen I THINK I bought this in Japan, but maybe from Maido in SF? Shake or knock advance, but you can also click the back Refill from the back- remove the tiny eraser Writing Test: No give in the feed Writes ok, but be careful not to break the lead No cush or grip, but small enough that you could put your own preferred grip on this- so it could be a good/cheap one to modify Will snap if pushed or if used at a sharp angle Eraser is ok, but tiny, I recommend not using it bc once its used up, will be difficult to remove and thus difficult to refill the pencil. Drawing test: Colored Lead: duh becca .7 lead wont work in this Can't really front fill, and don't want to force it. This means removing the graphite lead. A little uncomfortable to draw with, it kinda just slides around in my hand Drawing Test: For me, this isn't really the best fit. It's an inexpensive pencil that offers knock capabilities, but it's tough on my hand, and my hand ached while drawing. IT's probably great for students, particularly people who need to take notes quickly, but I would not recommend this as a drawing pencil.
