July 2021 Sketches (Patreon)
Content
Yall have seen a few of these before, but I wanted to share my digital sketches with yall in one place, and give a little explanation as to my plans for these! Consider it a sneak peek into the future! July was such a rainy month, I couldn't paint as much as I would've liked, so I used that time to DRAW! These aren't in any particular order-Main Image- In a Tree- I see this as a watercolor illustration- ideally lights of bright color, like a warm summer day, just Kara and Tanner hanging out in a tree. This will probably become a tutorial with an emphasis on talking about illustration.Pile of Strawberries- Part of my Louisiana food series (Snowball, Beignets, Seafood), I hope to have five of these completed (I've got several ideas including Sugar Cane) and share them as postcards in the Natto-Shop. These are Ponchatoula strawberries, and this will be a watercolor illustration with an accompanying tutorial.Sweets Girl- This will be a marker illustration with a colored lineart- I'll share both the colored lineart and black and white lineart here on Patreon as printables for you guys! This will probably be a marker tutorial.Strawberry Fields- Another marker illustration with a colored lineart. Pretty much same premise as Sweets Girl- printables+ Tutorial.Modern Madonna- This will be the fieldtest for the YInMN Blue Kabocha sent me awhile back. This has already been printed out, penciled, and stretched, and Kabo is sending me some homemade holo watercolor in lieu of using gold. In the Pool- This piece has been printed, penciled, AND inked- I'm hoping to possibly get it painted and recorded before I leave for the beach on Saturday. This will be a watercolor tutorial (probably), with a printable lineart (I need to get that out to yall). Two Cryptids (the elf and kitten)- This will be a marker illustration with a colored lineart. Same premise as marker pieces above.Father and Child- this will be a watercolor illustration of Kara and her dad- a MUCH belated Father's Day illo harkening back to the times my dad would draw with me.
