Early Access- Lofi Beats Kara Watercolor Tutorial (Patreon)

I've had this kinda kicking around the studio and in my head for a while- Kara as a lofi beats girl!  I thought it'd be super cute to reimagine the chill, kinda downbeat vibes common with the lofi art in miniature scale.

I feel like the lofi girl has sorta become a meme image- there are so many variations on the original- which featured was Shizuku from Whisper of the Heart studying while wearing headphones.  Generally, she, or a derivation, is used as the thumbnail for lofi music playlists on Youtube, hence the Lofi Girl moniker.

I really like the sort of quiet, busy industriousness the original captures- Shizuku hard at work writing her first novel, and as Studio Ghibli has inspired a lot of how I approach storytelling and the sort of stories I want to create, I thought creating an illustration of Kara inspired by the original was only fitting!

I've also got a bit of a walkthrough over on Twitter if you're interested in some of the steps in text form!
