When I was a kid, my mom's dad (my Pawpaw) had a little retirement farm in Picayune, Miss.  Mainly it was a pecan orchard, but he also grew a lot of fruits and vegetables in his garden.  From blueberries to corn, there was always something fresh on the table, and while I didn't really care for sugarcane myself, I have vivid memories of Pawpaw chomping on it.Down the road from Luling, I mean, REALLY down the road, like past Des Allemands and Bayou Gauche, even past Raceland, you have a lot of sugar refineries.  Sugarcane is a big deal down here, and you don't have to go that far to start finding sugarcane fields.  And supposedly, sugarcane juice is the way to go, although I've never tried it myself.

I recorded the process for this one as well, and hopefully I can get it edited and out to yall soon!
