Scoping out a potential place to sell comics and prints.

Generally, I try to do a little recon before I commit to a show.  I scope it out the year before- other people's photos are generally not helpful in deciding if it'll be a good fit.  We do a little shopping and while we shop, we ask other vendor's how the show's been going.  There's always a bit of polite lying "oh it's great!", so sometimes you have to dig a little deeper.  I'd totally forgotten that the Saints were still playing (I'm not a football person, can you tell?), and as yall can see, that makes a pretty big difference in terms of crowd.  Nobody wants to pay to set up a tent and sit in the cold for four hours (1-4pm) with no customers, so I'm glad I did a little recon before committing!
