New Art Classes- Patreon Newsletter May 7th (Patreon)

Hey Artnerds!

I'm putting my Teacher hat on this week because I've been busy

Preparing New Classes:

I'm teaching three classes with Ascension Parish Library this May- two new ones (Kawaii Art, and a watercolor bookmark class) and one repeat (Manga Madness), so this means I need to create two new classes!

Drawing Kawaii Art:

The Kawaii Art class has been much requested, and I taught that on Saturday and felt like it went really well!  There are some aspects I'd like to tweak (focusing more on faces, animals, and objects, and spending far less time demonstrating how to draw bodies), but the kids were amazing and I had a blast teaching it!  I have a presentation to share with Patrons, so keep an eye out for that!  I also recorded drawing video to turn into a tutorial to share publicly, but that's still in bits and pieces.

Galaxy Bookmarks:

On Tuesday, I'm teaching the kiddos a Mother's Day watercolor bookmark class, and I decided to do galaxy bookmarks.  There's mass appeal for painting galaxies, it relies on just a couple techniques and doesn't require anything in the way of drawing skills.  To help me prepare, I also recorded a tutorial for this class, taking photos during the whole process.  I have a presentation available for Patrons, so keep an eye out for that!

I am making Youtube tutorials around Drawing Kawaii Art and Galaxy Bookmarks and also making a vlog about preparing new classes!  So far, it's an inside look at the preparation for two very different types of classes, as well as a little about my experiences gig teaching with libraries.

I'm also hard at work on my backlog of recorded but unedited videos, so cheer me on!
